Hi there.  Does anybody have any ideas on the best way to integrate MS CRM (Customer Relationship Management) with a SMS gateway?  We'd like to do email to SMS, but not too sure how to get started.  We have the use of a really clued up software developer who has managed to screen-pop/CTI CRM for us via TAPI, so I know if we get pointed the right way we can probably make it come together pretty easily.  We'll need messaging to both Voda & Telecom.  Any help gratefully accepted!

If you have your own developer, you could contract an email-to-sms service from Vodafone or Telecom NZ. I recommend Clickatell, because of its prices. For an example of code needed to send messages, check this thread: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?ForumId=22&TopicId=8511

The API allows tracking, and other features.

Hi in2orbit,

Here at Gap we've created an SMS for Microsoft CRM 3.0 add-on.  Our SMS
for Microsoft CRM add-on is a fully tested, fully integrated add-on,
which provides the capability to Send & Receive SMS text messages
direct from/to Microsoft CRM.  Each SMS text message is linked with a
Contact so you have full audit trail of inbound/outbound messages.  For
more information check out our website at,

kind regards,

Michael Jarvis
Microsoft CRM Consultant.
