Hi Guys

As part of a recent upgrade on my laptop to Windows 8, I have started using SkyDrive.

For the most part I am very impressed. I hadn't really dabbled with online storage before and this has been a breeze.

One of the quirks I have noticed though, is when I upload photos taken on my iPhone 4s via the SkyDrive app for iOS, it strips out all the EXIF data from the photos. This is very frustrating as it won't show the location of where the photo was taken, or worse it will not sort the photo into the order they were taken so a slideshow will be displayed all over the place.

Has anybody else come across this quirk? In my view it is a fairly glaring omission, and one that's almost too obvious to be called a bug or accident.

Thanks for that - would be appreciated. I'm surprised that there seems to be very little on the issue out there on the web, but it is documented.

I also have an issue when attempting to upload large video files.  The maximum file size is apparently 300MB, but there is no warning when attempting to load a larger one, but they all seem to fail at about the 180MB mark in the upload?

There hasn't been an update the Skydrive app in quite a while though - Microsoft and Apple are apparently not in agreement on in-app purchases.  http://www.theverge.com/2012/12/11/3753968/microsoft-apple-skydrive-discussions-ios-app-rumor

Well, this explains a lot. Thanks for bringing this to the thread.

I too had noted that the app was quite old with no update for quite some time, and now I know why. This is such a shame, and I absolutely understand Microsoft's stance on this.

With that said though, I still feel that this is such a glaring omission from the app, that I can't help but feel that this was done on purpose.

Nice work - I saw the update on my phone this morning and thought to myself that Microsoft must have resolved things with Apple.

Now, to set about the task of uploading all my iOS photos back up to my SkyDrive...

I saw the update this morning, but must admit on my ipad I always use the web version as the app gives me the impression it doesnt have the same feature set.
