The Mega.NZ chrome extension was compromised and was posting passwords and other confidential information to dodgy servers.

Huh, just this weekend I was prompted to install "MegaSync" to download files. It demanded admin permissions with nothing more than "." in the description field. I think I'm glad that I didn't let it proceed!
