Hi Team

Received an email this morning informing me that MS now includes My Analytics in my Office 365 account, im not interested in what it offers, nor how it looks at my calendar.

Can this be disabled/turned off easily enough?

Looks pretty cool from a management perspective.  I know a bunch of my people work more than they should.  It would be nice to see evidence of that in a dashboard rather than just anecdotally seeing people online in Teams or whatnot.

Collective answer, no I'm not @freitasm, i requested the answer and was told they would need to look into it

@gehenna, i don't believe you can see that for each user, due to privacy. outside of that it should be opt in....not opt out

@ANgIEAUT, appreciate it, thank you

I don't think we can ever look at providing MyAnalytics insights to managers as thats not really what its intended for and opens up a can of privacy worms!

Interested to hear why the OP wants to turn it off as it's meant to be for each employee to get a quick insight into where and how they're spending their time (are they being dragged into useless meetings all the time, how much time are they spending on emails vs doing the real work etc). It even does cool stuff like pick up how many people are reading your emails that are sent to large audiences.

Turning it off for Global Admins can be done two ways;

- Was a bit embarrased by this page here (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/workplace-analytics/myanalytics/setup/configure-myanalytics?WT.mc_id=365AdminCSH) around turning it off via PowerShell and CSV files.

- Alternatively, you can toggle off the service that the license is providing under the Office 365 Admin Center>Users>Apps & Services>untick Insights by MyAnalytics.

@Jogre, personally its not something i chose to use, i would prefer to opt into things like this rather than need to opt out

Fair call, from my perspective the challenge we have is that we roll this stuff out that can benefit users and IT companies don't make them aware of it so it doesn't get used.
