I see this is now launched, although only for existing business users and BNZ users (although you can sign up for a trial business account and get access to personal through that).

Is there any plans to add feeds from other banks? It's a pain to have to keep uploading files.

Looking nice so far, much better than using Microsoft Money

Xero's official stance is here, and a response from ASB on their Twitter account:

ASBBank: Hi @benkepes given Xero's arrangements with BNZ as a launch partner, the earliest other bank feeds could occur with @XeroPersonal is 2011

Personal looks great so far.. sadly I'm not holding great hopes for auto-bank feeds from my bank Kiwibank anytime soon... given they've just launched a seemingly competing product (heaps)..

I did ask @TeamXero on twitter also, and there reply was:

"@redjungle Launch partner is BNZ but we certainly hope to offer feeds from other banks in time, see comments on blog http://is.gd/b5gMQ ^OG"

Not much use for me, as I bank with most of the major banks, although not the BNZ. I find quicken to be really good, and you can use it anywhere in the world, as you don't need an active internet connection. I think there will be heaps of these types of products coming out over the next few years.

Shame it wont be with other banks until at least 2011.

Yeah would be much more interested if there were auto bank feeds for all major banks from the start.

I bet it's a mare trying to get those deals in place when many banks have their own in-house money management sites/sub sites.

Yes, as much as I love Xero, I won't be suscribing to personal until automated feeds are available for KiwiBank.

I've been spoilt, I now find manual imports too painful. :(

We do for this exact reason.. its free too, but not as nice IMO - so it says a lot that I'd prefer to be paying Xero for this service.

Just jumping in here with a response to Mauricio's question "why don't you use heaps".
I've tried Heaps and there are two primary reasons it doesn't suite me:
1. inability to create completely new categories (for allocating spending against) ; and
2. inability to split out joint accounts. My partner and I have two separate accounts under the one Joint account number. Heaps won't let us track our spending individually.

So I have been trying out buxfer which does all I want, for free. At this stage I just manually import the info from my bank (KiwiBank) into it. Admittedly this is a hassle, but I only do it once a month, so  is not that big a problem. It's nice that it is truly independent of all the banks, and can aggregate info from multiple accounts, and it does claim to be able to automate bank feeds.

kind regards Andrew TD
