I can't find a decent way to record Choice TV programs on my TiVo.

I've tried Season Pass - it records the same program 4 or 5 times a week and the text for every showing is the same so it's difficult to know which ones are the same and it fills the disk up quickly.
I've tried Manual recording but sometimes the recording I choose to record (not the first showing) is a completely different show!

Isn't Tivo supposed to be clever enough so if I choose to Season Pass a show and only record first showings and there's a conflict on the first show then it will record one of the repeats?

Just curious how you guys are recording their stuff?
Also, how do you know which showing on Choice TV is the first showing?

I'm guessing the data that Choice is suppling to Hybrid is crap.  I record a few shows and generally know what time I wanted the show recorded.  I then delete the others.

I have set mine up to keep one showing only of the program. As long as you watch it before the next "new" episode appears it works well. It's a pain that they don't have any sort of flag for 1st and other episodes.. The other option is to do a manual recording like in the VCR days..

TiVo does, but obviously Choice TV are not supplying that information.

Thanks, at least it's not just me missing some obvious way of recording.

It also possibly depends when the 1st run of the programs occurred. If they are constantly recycling the programs, then they may not really know when the first run occurred. This was the problem I had with tvnz7 which regularly recycles programs.
