Is there any way (I don't have HNP) to see how much space is left on my TiVo??

I have deleted a whole bunch of programs (many still remain unwatched) but no matter how many I delete the TiVo still seems to not give me many available recording hours.

I delete several hours worth of recordings and expect to receive a few hours in return. I have checked and all HD recordings are deleted. But I don't seem to get back what I delete (based on messages that new scheduled recordings will be deleted sooner than expected).

It's almost as if there is some kind of "memory effect" like old rechargeable batteries.

Has anyone else had issues like this and can anyone help??

Just ignore those messages. If you want to keep the recording for longer, just change the keep until date.

I just look at the recently deleted folder.

When you delete a program it goes there, if delete second program there's now two programs in there and so on.

Then when the hard drive is full and the tivo needs more space, it permantly deletes a program from recently deleted.

So if there was 10 programs in recently deleted, and then it drops to 1 program, then you only have space to record for the size of that program.

Side note: not looking at tivo at moment, so folder name might be something different, but pretty sure it has word deleted in it.
