So with the end date coming shortly I notice that Au customers are being offered a discounted HDD recorder through Harvey Norman. Is there something similar for NZ customers?

Came here expecting gold. Mildly disappointed.

The Fetch machine in Aussie isn't being sold here and is proprietary so needs guide information etc from the supplier, somewhat like the Tivo does. The "special price" is nothing to write home about either. Some other sellers have been price matching without you needing to surrender your Tivo. You'll likely be aware if you follow the other threads here, that work is well on the way to keeping the Tivo in play after 31st October, and this will be a community effort. You may not be aware that the old Tivo Series 1 has been able to get guide updates from around 2001 and is still going strong. It's expected that a similar result will be available for our Tivos, plus some nice unexpected extras. Keep the faith!

Nope, although up until yesterday The Warehouse did have Dish TV T2200 units on sale for $199 (just over half price).  Their normal retail is $399 and Noel Leeming's retail of $429.  Naturally The Warehouse sold out before the sale ended.
