For those without access to Darren's supply of replacement rubber feet for their crumbling footwear I offer the following tip:

Get a set of Jaycar HP0830 rubber feet.  Winkle out the old TiVo ones and save the parts, you are going to re-use the sleeve and rivet.

First use a 3/16 drill to open out the hole in the new feet a little. Use the same drill to remove the sharp leading edge on the case.  Fit the sleeve part thru the hole and offer up to the case, lubrication helps - I licked em - and push carefully thru.

My pusher was a compass point with the top bit off a spark plug to supply the force.  Gotta be slim otherwise the sleeve bit gets expanded before you want. After the third try you will see what I mean.

Once thru and flush with the case, fit the rivet part and force it into place completely.

Result is a beautiful set of feet.  Done two cases now and they look nice.

Just re-read my post and need to point out that when you relieve the hole in the case, hold the drill with your fingers, do NOT power drill it, you could go straight through into something important.

Needless to say "Don't try this at home" unless you have unplugged it first !
