alvin: without Prime EPG, does that mean that Tivo can't record any prime programs?

You can manually set to record any program by entering date and time. It won't be automatic, that's all.

No it means you have to use manual time recording (eg no series recording or epg recording)

I have found you can use the guide, you are just restricted to booking in hour blocks, not ideal but not too hard.

It's only a matter of time!

I reckon that both Sky and Maori TV will change their minds in the coming months alternately TiVo will work around them in some way.
