Hi folks..

I am wondering if TiVO's in NZ are cabable of connecting to remote HME applications.. I emailed Tivo NZ and they could not tell me (even tho it was about 3 weeks before they where sold)

I have started up a HME server at the moment on a machine and wondering if people can test it out.

the ip address I have an HME server on is 60.234.76.50

I don't know about the NZ ones.. but on others like the US you go to

Music, Photos & More
Enable Home Network Applications
Manually Add a Server
enter the ip address (as above)
continue..

if anyone see's anything please let me know and give me better instructions on connecting to it and then I'll get some proper stuff on the server.

G'Day mate - "No servers found at this IP address".

But it could be firewall etc?

Ah.. just found out that they (Tivo) changed things in the AU/NZ boxes for the way they stream video... (because of the NZ TiVo Release). Because of this all HME written via the TiVO HME SDK applications which "stream" videos broke until someone works out how to do it again.

These 3 at the moment are just example TiVo Apps that someone else wrote with a few changes by me. I am working on some others at the moment but until the streaming problem is resolved streaming won't be possible.

Also as far as I know YouTube is not available on the TiVo in AU? Does the NZ one have a built in Youtube player?

just to note . there are 3 videos.. do they all give the same dredded 0xffff error? Its hard to test things without a TiVo and the TiVo HME Emulator doesn't do everything correctly :-)

Thanks

No, no youtube player.

When running the video app, you just get:

Can't Run
An error occured while running the application. HTTP
failure (File not found 404
).

No list of videos....
