Check the HKLM\Software\TiVo\SharingKeys in Regedit

whats does it have in there?

and they are not blank? can you enter the MAK in again into the progam ?

nope they are definatly not blank.
When i douldle click on one there is a whole lot of code and media access key in english is part of it.
Put the MAK in many times. it makes no difference ..

i also just uninstalled tivo and run the tivodesktop cleaner then reinstalled.
same result.

can you access the Tivo directly via HTTP with the MAK?

And now the TiVo can't see my box running TiVo desktop... It could see before, but after a reboot it's gone.

Quite frustrating.

Changed from Beacon to Bonjour and now the TiVo Desktop is visible again... But none of the files in the "Share Music, Photos & Videos" show up on TiVo. The PVR says there's nothing being shared - and there are 290GB of stuff there.

Yes, i can goto tivo over the web as above and can view all the recorded programs and download them as well.
I just downloaded a 1.39gig file that way from tivo to my pc.

But I then went into tivo desktop and tried to get one..
Same error.
"The system cannot find the file specified"
