RexHavoc: As it is, if we get some they will be offered to those who emailed/pm'd me yesterday in order, on a first come first served basis only. Currently theres 50+ in the queue.

Great to hear.

I'm sure those of us who emailed mid morning yesterday are champing at the bit to find out if they can get one.

RexHavoc:
dolsen:
alvin: i might be too slow as well, rexhavoc.  This is why i am not happy with what acquire did.  I thought once they accepted my order that I already have one.  At that time, Rexhavoc also posted that he might have 10 units (i think) allocated to him/his company and I don't want to be greedy and gave chance to others who ordered late at acquire.  but now that my order at acquire was unsuccessful, I'm left with nothing.  I should have picked up one from rexhavoc at that time.

So, if you still have more units coming your way, can you please reserve one for me...

thanks

alvin

I'm in a similar boat. I thought that with my lowish order that I would get one as I was working on the assumption that they had either 242 or 95 available. Based on that, I didn't email rexhavoc when I saw the post. Now, I have nothing...
Oh well, that's life....

those numbers of 242 and 95 are directly from Ingrams price list that they send out to their resellers once per day. It is not a realtime reflection of their (the resellers) own stock.

Acquire should have posted their real stocks number.  I really dont understand how the reseller thing works.  Laughing  as far as i'm concerned, their website showed they have stocks, my order was accepted 9:30AM, so i thought I have one.  bad thing is that I didn't check my email till 6pm.  all along I thought i have one and told my wife about it and she was happy as well.

I was one of the many of camped here in GZ from around 8:30AM till 10:30AM, that was one reason I knew that you  offered 10 units to those who pm you. oh well... that's life... Laughing

Acquire had zero I reckon. Like elive they probably show the stock level of Ingram Micro which is a day behind at best.

I bought one from itd.co.Nz at about 530am this morning. They updated there prices over night. I hope I actully get one. Got the receipt and have been charged so let's wait in see. Did some digging yesterday and rang every reseller listed on pricespy.co.Nz. Let's hope my deceptive work paid off. Had some funny conversations with some outlets. I had to tell one asain lady to check the front page of stuff.. She still didn't believe me haha.

Yeah I think they ran out about 7am and then they removed it from the site. I spoke to them on the phone yesterday and they defiantly had at least a couple of both in stock. Unless they did a Noel lemmings haha

They are trying to get facebook likes to win an iPad..maybe they should swap it for a touchpad (writing this on my ipad)

AlphaCity showed a similar story in PriceSpy. Stock available and a price of $146.03. I just rang them and was told HP had EOLed them and they have none in stock. Even when I asked about the fire sale price, they persisted with the "no stock" line

I too have ordered one from pp just now. Not sure whats going on there. I emailed yesterday just after 10am as well, when the offer was made.

Have put Direct Credit as payment, but will pay instantly via CC if there is a unit available.
