Any suggestions for a good one to try.

Here's my list

Spaz HD - twitter client, I'm not sure if there's anything out there for touchpad.

Facebook - this is for the wife but she said there's a lot of things missing compared to the IOS apps. I don't have facebook so I don't know what features are missing. She is happy to use the web version.

Preware - best thing that happened to webos in general, i think. I've done the patches but not the overclocking yet.

Flashcards lite - It is amazing how this app is helping my 6 year old son in his multiplication tables. He is now more interested to study maths probably because of the interface. This is the lite version so only one flash cards set can be installed at a time. I created some other flash cards sets online and that can be downloaded anytime and will replace the current one. Very good but quite slow, I'm not sure if this was cause by one of the installed patches.

Internalz pro - touchpad file manager, haven't had any use for it at the moment but I'm sure this will come handy when I start importing pictures, movies, etc.

Box.net app - it is a free 50G cloud storage but has a 100Mb limit and it seems that the upload speed is throttled down.

Comics HD - allows you to  view your favorite comics all from one place

Mosaic Reader - rss feed reader, nice interface

I'm still waiting for a more stable version of preader native. Anyone has tried kindle yet? Does it accept epub format without much drama?

more to come once I get hold of the touchpad again.

I'm nurturing a profound hatred for Spaz HD, purely because it manages to be very, very slow. Even on my over-clocked TouchPad.

Keen to see Graphite for webOS: http://www.webosroundup.com/2011/07/graphite-for-webos-gets-its-close-up-treatment-on-hp-touchpad/

They just released a video on the app, as well as an eta of the 30th September so we have to wait 10days to have a real twitter app. (hopefully) lol

One important security update after installing Preware. If you haven't already installed Preware, details are here:
http://www.webos-internals.org/wiki/Preware

There is a patch for the recent problem with untrusted DigiNotar SSL certificates.

In Preware, search for the app under Linux Applications: Remove Untrusted SSL Certs
Install this application (might need a restart).

More info here:
http://www.google.com/search?q=untrusted+diginotar+ssl+certificates

thanks alexxx.  I've only done the ssl secured google search as my default search engine.  I will install that app as well.

anyone here received the email from hp with coupon codes for paid apps?  I received 4 coupon codes yesterday but even before I setup my credit card details into my webos account, all codes have been allocated.  There's a complaint at precentral that these codes are posted on other forum, that's why those people that actually received the email coupons misses out.

I got the same thing. Are they even valid in NZ? (Disclaimer suggests that they're for the USA only).

Pretty poor that it's on a first-in basis, people in a time-zone who are asleep at the time miss out.
