So ive been using photoshop elements for a while, and really enjoy it.

but the full screen browser is SOOOOO slow.
I was using Faststone image viewer which preloads the next couple of images so you have to flick through pretty fast to have it slow down
Elements doesnt load them up, it about 2 seconds a photo. If i flick through about 5 images it will hang for about 10seconds.....I shot 495 photos today and having it hang like that is ridiculous.

However, Elements is great for tagging of photos, and for these photos I use star ratings....
Is there a viewer that will put star ratings on the files so that Elements can read it?

I tried a heap of different word options in google but no luck.

Fast Picture Viewer is what I use, or PhotoMechanic does it too. Both are professional tools and are made to be fast. The files are in XMP files, and can be called XMP ratings.

You have to set up to do XMP ratings. It's fast, I can rate 1000 photos an hour easily, probably more if I tried.

I had a little flick through.
Had to change the default options (it made a new xmp file instead of imbedding it)

Then Elements still wouldnt see the rating. But seens it doesnt read the file details after its already been added, ie I need to rate them before I add them to Elements, then it will read the rating when adding it.

Very fast at going through files tho.

I don't know how elements works, I use CS6 Bridge. I figured all the Adobe stuff would be the same. With Bridge if the rating's changed it updates it when bridge is started.
