Hey guys, Im after a program that I can download (free or cheap) to create a video

Basicly I want to overlay a sound track/song and add video footage and images I've taken. Nothing special just nice and simple.

Any ideas?

If you really want something super basic and easy to use - it's possible already on your computer (if you run Windows)... have you tried Windows Movie Maker?

Recommend it only because it's totally free, probably already installed, does the basics and won't overlay your work with an upgrade message.

Just use something like Windows Movie Maker, as you only want to do extremely simple stuff.

For free programs that are more high powered, check out Lightworks, DaVinci Resolve, Blender, Jahshaka, etc....

+1 for movie maker and / or imovie.  It will introduce you to the basics and you can decide from there how you feel about splashing out on higher spec software. Remember, with the fancy software comes the requirement for more grunt.
