Received word from a NZ developer who created Pixal, so decided to post here in case some of you might want to try it.

Pixal is a camera app with a revolutionary way to organise your photos and videos. Share photos privately via our custom sharing technology called Pixal Sharing. Share photos ONLY with the participants of an event or album. Photos are locked so others can’t save or upload your photos to social media. It’s absolutely FREE so download and try it now. Available in New Zealand, Australia and Fiji.

I wish them all success.

Can't help but be a bit sceptical though, 'revolutionary' is a big call, I'm not sure the world needs yet another photo organising/sharing app. Considering that "This creates its own private content network, using events based on the consumers calendar and social media activities." it's going to want a fair few access permissions, and how will they make a buck?  Bombard users with advertising?

"Photos are locked so others can’t save or upload your photos to social media." Yeah, right. I don't see it disabling screenshots.

"All images that are shared through Pixal go on the Hubs." What does *Pixal* do with your data and your photos and your contacts' data?
