Hi everyone.

I have been implementing some videoconferencing gear to connect our satellite offices. It is all working great, with my last issue being lighting. The user at head office is sitting in front of a three monitor setup, but due to a large window to the left and the overhead lighting being slightly behind, they can be quite shadowy.

It is a multipurpose office, so can't set up dedicated fill and key lighting, so was looking at something that could attach to the monitor mount to lose some of the shadows.

Was thinking a small ring light or similar, but what I can find goes from cheap "selfie rings" straight to professional gear at several hundred dollars.

Does anyone have any recommendations for something we can use?

Needs to be either mains or USB powered, and would prefer an LED solution.

Cheers

Chris

Go to a lighting store and buy a desk lamp. Point it at his face from the direction of the camera. Watch him squint. Alternately buy two, one each side, he'll squint less.

Removing light may be more practical.
