Hi to Vegas pro users,

Is it possible to render a 30fps video at double speed, ie making the frames play at 60fps?

Tried google, youtube, nothing showing.

Thanks

It seems easy to render 60fps video at half speed, framing at 30fps but not the other way round?

if i remember correctly you need to create the project first at the resolution and frame rate required before you add your media.  Once you add your media change the velocity to the speed required to ensure it doesn't try to "fill" the missing frames to match the time-base.

Procrastination eventually pays off.

Hi thanks, your tip works I think.

Now got to figure out why preview and rendered video looks a bit different. (have set to preview best quality!)

Because preview doesnt calculate the frames the same way. When changing framerate there is one really nasty way of doing it that vegas did when I gave it a brief try of frame blending. I was sticking some horrid 25FPS footage into a 60FPS timeline and it just blurred frames together making it look like a 1990's VHS conversion or similar.

All looked great in the preview - just juddery as hell because of the low framerate. I did find the option somewhere to change it to just doubling up frames but other annoyances drove me away from vegas. Might try it again soon since I bought it on humble bundle a while ago and I am sick of paying for the creative cloud the small amount I use it.

no i was applying unsharp mask and sharpening but preview window looked under sharpened and after rendering was 10000% oversharpened.
