When it comes time for an upgrade try this style of camera...

My first ever AM radio network connection was with a 1MHz AM crystal(OA91) radio receiver.

Yep, that's similar to the one I asked about on the previous page - this is the model I'm looking at replacing my own Amcrest dome cameras with to sort the same problem: https://amcrest.com/prohd-5mp-outdoor-security-ip-turret-poe-camera-2-8mm-lens-103-fov-ip67-weatherproof-white-ip5m-t1179ew-28mm.html
Can someone confirm whether these need a base like I installed the dome cameras on, or whether they can attach directly to the wall/soffit? The ones I used look something like this:
If you can open it up (the sealed portion of the dome), stick some desiccant packets inside the sealed housing to deal with condensation. Else turn off the internal I.R and use an external I.R flood.

It depends, can you get all the wires that come with the camera, barrel plug, rj45 etc up into where you are mounting it? the cameras themselves have a thin base ring which the rest of the camera screws on to and locks. its just how you manage the cables as to weather you need a junction box.
jonathan18:Check the manual. It comes with a mounting bracket

Decided to replace both cameras with Reolink cameras - https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/CCTRLK8822/Reolink-RLC-822A-8MP-Outdoor-Turret-PoE-IP-Camera
While I managed to improve the image of the existing dome cameras, these new cameras are a little more powerful with Person / Vehicle Detection plus support for Amazon Alexa.
Just waiting on delivery from Auckland and an electrician to find time to install them.
