I'd probably line the pools and rocks with broken glass.

It's not too hard to extract from the water supply, and long term not a great environmental hazard.

30,000L tank further down, and a small solar pump or two to re-start the siphon.


Can't swim in pools if there's no water there.

Better yet, make this into a poster and put it up, along with a graphic warning that genital-invading Candiru fish have been introduced into the pools.
