Hi all,
I am using EPG Collector and I do not get EPG data displayed in MediaPortal for the following channels:
- TV ONE plus 1
- TV2 + 1
- Choice
- Sommet Sports
- Al Jazeera

On a separate TV,  I have a TiVo device and this shows the tv guide for most of the above channels. Not sure about the last two in my list, but definetely has EPG data for TV One+1, TV2+1 and Choice. I believe  that TiVO gets the EPG data from a website somewhere (it requires permanent internet connection), is this the explanation?

I have tried all the things I could think about, but I could not get this working. The priority would be to sort it out for the first three in the list if possible.
If you confirm you get the EPG data, then I guess I have to keep trying...? What transponders do you scan in EPG collector?
Many thanks in advance.

I get EPG data for all those channels using EPG collector (I don't use MediaPortal TV Server though). You only need to scan one frequency to get all EPG data.

I'd suggest first off opening the EPG Collector log and checking the channels in question are listed.

As above, check the log. There are stats at the end showing channels and record counts.

If you are using NZ terrestrial you should tick 'Create data for channels with the same name...' on the Output tab.

Hi floydie,

I am not sure I understand what do you mean by "update"? An update to the "EPG Collector" itself, or just to run the EPG Collector to "update" your tv guide?
I used to run it manually (from outside Media Portal) when the tv guide would run out but for few months now it is set to run at Windows start-up, as I do not let the pc to run 24/7. This way, it creates the 7-day EPG every day. It does not seem to create any issues.

Create a "Scheduled Task" in windows. You can make it wake the pc if it's asleep, run every day, every week etc.
