Hi.

Apologies if this is in the incorrect section. Having an issue setting the correct time on parents tv. Model: Veon VN50HB28LED. I've tried a few things: i've reset the tv - this didn't seem to work properly as all the channels were still in its memory. In the tv's menu there is a section labelled 'Time'. In this menu, it is possible to select time zones only, no manual inputting of times. So when NZ time is selected (ie GMT + 12 hours) it first displays the correct time, but then automatically defaults to the correct NZ time plus 5 hours. So say I set the time zone to NZ time and it's 10.00 am, it will display 10.00 then automatically revert to 15.00 hrs (ie plus 5 hours). The tuner main board was recently replaced in this tv. Is this a problem on the tuner main board? I've tried everything but cannot get the unit to display the correct time. Also in the EPG, the current time is listed as 5 hours ahead, despite displaying the current program that is actually being broadcast. Is there a way to reset the tv completely? This TV gets turned off every night at the power socket as thats what my parents prefer to do. Is this part of the problem? Turning off the unit at the power socket does not reset the unit so there must be internal batteries on main or tuner board?

Any help much appreciated.

I think the time comes over the Air (with the freeview broadcast).

Sounds like the timezone settings are not working properly, what happens if you set it to a timezone that is 5 hours behind NZ? (Jakarta or Bangkok).

Unfortunately the only options close are Western Australia (+ 8 hours) or the next zone after that is Moscow (+ 4 hours). I'll try doing an OTA software update and see if that changes anything. Thanks for the reply.

The manual seems to show that you can manually adjust the clock - not just the time zone:

(If I have the correct manual?).

Thanks. I think that manual's for some of their other models. Strangely, on this TV (it's a 50") in the 'Time' menu, the 'Clock' section is greyed out and it isn't possible to select it. I tried  the OTA update and it says everything is up to date!
