HI,

The issue is with your output file line in the INI file.

'Output:C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\TVguide.xml'

I'll bet you have a file called 'C' in the install directory for EPGCollector ;-)

Currently you need to move the generated file with a batch job or similar as the output path does not accept a full path.

I also noted that in your log file the signal failed to lock for the last frequency (682000) can you try removing this and running with Output:TVguide.xml

Cheers

Fubar, where are you based?

Like giggles said, the log indicates a problem with your frequency list.  I cant see the TVNZ channels listed there...  The first thing to try is adjust the frequencies you have.

You can get the frequencies you need to enter from Mediaportal TV Server config program, if it has gone through and detected all available channels when you click on the "TV Channels" setting it will show you all the frequencies being used, note these down and update the epgcollector.ini where necessary.

If you cant see the frequencies in Mediaportal let us know where you are and someone should be able to reply with the appropriate frequencies for your region.

Also I didnt put any leading 00 at the start of the frequencies, I dont think thats the problem though.

hope this helps.

It's working with a HDHomeRun now... The culprit was Windows Firewall, which was not showing the popup for new programs accessing the network. Added an exception and it's all good.

Hi Guys,

As Mauricio mentioned its all fixed for his networked Tuner. So if anyone else has a networked tuner and gets stuck with the logs showing 'No SDT sections received' try editing your firewall rules to allow EPGCollector.exe to explicitly access the device.

Hi Guys/Gals

We (Steve & I) have just released a new version onto Sourceforge.  This version deals with using the new Generic Network Provider when building the graphs as the DVB Specific providers are being deprecated by MS.  It also allows you to specify the full output path (don't use quotes if there are spaces).

Release notes are in the ReadMe.txt file

This is using the provided  Freeview INI files.

Im running it as an Admin at D:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\EPG Collector
but have also tried at c:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\EPG Collector
to make sure there isnt something hard coded.

You have the dubious distinction of being the only one we haven't got working now.

It looks like you are on XP - is that right?

By the way collecting MHEG or EIT won't make any difference - you haven't got that far yet, you might as well just try it for one of them.

Hey guys

Just want to say thanks so much for developing this.  Pretty cool how quickly this came together and great timing considering what is happening to the on-line EPG providers.  I have this automatically generating the Freeview|HD guide data every day and inserting it into Windows 7 MC.  Works perfectly.  Also got it set up on my Mum's PC where it is even more of a boon since she doesn't currently have internet access.

Cheers!

Hi,

I am running Vista with the Hauppauge Nova-S-Plus Satellite cards set-up as terestrial cards using the registry hack (as vista WMC doesn't support satellite).  Does anyone else have this set-up as it's doesn't appear to be working in eith sat or terestrial mode?
