Does every user of a chromebook have to set up that specific printer in their google account, or can you set up the printer once on the device and everyone using the chromebook can then use the printer?

Setting up every single person would be a colossal pain.
Thanks!

Don't know what printer you have but my Brother allows you to configure one Google Account and this has to be the same account as the Chromebook is running (AFAIK).

Thank you for the reply.

It's a Google Cloud capable Ricoh. Or it will be once I go through the process of enabling the Ricoh then 'registering' it with Google.

Traditional style printers look reasonably simple to set up but they require a computer and a logged in account for a print server from what I can tell; not ideal if I can avoid it.

I've been reading up on it since my post and you can 'share' your printer instead of setting each person up individually. You could share yours with me and I could print at your house. 😉 Better, if the people you want to share with belong to a Google group (these do) you can apparently share it with the whole group at once so I'm going to try that today.

The biggest headache looks like it's going to be configuring the Ricoh, the server ports and registration of the printer to Google, not the sharing after all!

I wish this was as simple as AirPrint but with any luck the manual I found makes it look worse than it is.
