@Behodar Seems I sent my response to the wrong email address. Apologies for that. Have forwarded it to you. It has instructions on what traceroute to run so we can see at what step the extra lag has been introduced. We have not been seeing the same issues with other customers so would really like to nail down where it is coming from.

that's really unfortunate.

your first opportunity to show the level of service you provide in the public arena and you mucked it up.

How on earth did you manage to reply to the wrong email address?

Oh good grief. Take a chill pill. People make mistakes. He was man enough to admit it and he and the transit provider are on the issue. Not sure what value you got from the comment.

This is a thread where he is specifically asking for feedback about his ISP. If you want honest feedback, then you have to accept the good with the bad.

My feedback is that replying to the wrong email address is pretty poor customer service.

Sure, he admitted it, and has put it right, and even if it is an honest mistake, it still is a bad look for the systems/processes he operates where it is even possible to reply to the wrong email address without realising it.

It's only with this sort of feedback that problems can be fixed.

I believe he wants CONSTRUCTIVE feedback which your feedback wasn't. It's not like he wasn't already aware of the issue anyway. All you were doing was sticking the boot in.

Thought I might post up my experience with MYNXNET.

I am currently on Unlimited VDSL ($109) which i was paying with previous ISP with 200GB cap and on ADSL2+.

No Contract ,Unlimitted , Netflix , cant go wrong here time to sign up.

Changeover day came and things didn't go as planned , Chorus mucked something up , and MynxNet was quick to respond to all my query over "E-Mail", next morning around 9am my VDSL connection was live , Nicely done "MYNXNET". Customer Support over email "10/10" so far.

VDSL Service over a few days was not so great compared to my ADSL from previous provider, however I installed a master splitter and the increase was crazy , from 18mb down to 38mb down, Master Splitter made the difference, to makes things as smooth as possible I used the recommended router stated on the MynxNet Website and "BOOM" 45mb down sync cool, ever since then it hasn't dropped out or missed a beat, "ROCK SOLID".

"NETFLIX" , "HULU" , it works just like how they said it would, "FLAWLESSLY".
Overall I have had a positive experience with MynxNet, Keep up the good work Guys laughing .

I've had a friend ask about VoIP. The service description document for ADSL states that VoIP can be provided but there is no mention of pricing. Does anyone know how much it costs?

Thanks for the feedback Benozo. Really glad the network is working for you.

We are still trying to fine tune it to suit the needs of our customers so if you have any thoughts please let us know. You might have seen we did some routing changes for @Behodar which improved things for him. Vibe communications (our wholesaler) have been really helpful and are open to more changes if your a gamer and want to get the latency down.

Yep we can offer it. Ping an email to support@mynxnet.com and I will outline some capabilities/prices for you. We are still working on building products for VOIP so we are just doing deals for the one offs for now.

That's great feedback.
Mind if I ask how long you've been a mynxnet customer?

I only because the only way to sign up seems to be to request an invitation from the op, and given this is your first post on geekzone i assume you are a customer from a while back. Correct?

OK, I told my friend to do so, no guarantees that he will but it's better than nothing :)

Just an update guys. Saw over on one of the other forums that some more tech focused people were after static IPV6 addresses. We ran a quick trial and it all checked out, so we are offering both static IPV4 and IPV6 addresses, with the ability to offer both if your modem/router handles it.

Things seem to be a bit broken at the moment... about half an hour ago I couldn't use anything at all; my modem had a PPP connection and the correct IP address over DHCP, but all websites would just "stall". Gradually some sites like Google came online, but others didn't. I couldn't get to Geekzone until a couple of minutes ago and even now all the avatars are missing.

This appears to be the same issue as on 27/6 so I hope it isn't a regular occurrence.

Edit: Took two attempts to post this. First attempt timed out, then GZ didn't work at all for a few minutes. Avatars are back again now though.

Yes we noticed DNS issues earlier, but should be back to normal now. We will have some exciting news on this front in a couple of weeks. If you have issues please send an email to support@mynxnet.com as well so we get notified right away.

Right, will do that next time :)

In a way I'm glad that there was a "real" problem; I was lying in bed and suddenly thought "wait, there's a storm up there, I'll feel bad if I whined about service due to a storm-related outage" (easy to forget about that sort of thing here in the sunshine capital tongue-out) so I'm happy that it wasn't due to the storm!
