sbiddle: When you say you're the "first broadband comparison website launching January 2016" I assume you mean you'll be the first to launch a new website offering this very functionality in 2016? Because you're certainly not the first to offer the service.

telme was the first and received Commerce Commission funding to make it a truly impartial service. The site relauch is apparently going to happen early Dec (last I heard) as Consumer couldn't afford to fully fund the site as it was due to the resources required to keep it up to date and relevant.

Out of curiosity do all the company logos you're using on your site endorse the product and site?

What would you think is a better tag line? could be… Thanks for the feedback, we can definitely see merit on what you the issues raised on the tag line.
We would like to be as accurate as possible but also not try to sell ourselves short in the service we are providing. Do you have a suggestion on a tagline we could use,  that sits well with (hopefully ) a user of our service like you?

We do know about TelMe and actually went and spoke to the people who launched/made it. We also found out why it was not successful.
From these lessons learned, we are trying not to make the same mistakes.

Regarding your last question, can you please elaborate more?

glimpNZ: Hi Geekzoners

We are glimp - a broadband comparison website that is changing the way Kiwis search for their broadband plans.

We haven't launched yet but would love you guys/girls to help us out and build a service that will make our lives a little bit easier :)

If you are interesting in testing what we got and giving us feedback, then let us know.

Also, we are currently running a competition and giving away 12 months Unlimited broadband, you can enter here: or via our FB.

We are thrilled about joining geekzone community and hearing any feedback from you.

Cheers
glimp

the broadband you are giving away.  Which ISP is it with?

BTW- best of luck with this idea.  Lots have tried, (and lots have sunk money into it - some have put big bucks)  and nobody has yet pulled it off.

How do you plan to keep all the plan details up to date?
(if your answer is "the ISPs will do it!"  then sorry that won't work - the only ISP interested in doing that will be the cheapest one. the others won't care)

Will you include some comparison of customer service?  e.g. some kind of 'sentiment' view from social media,  facebook reviews or similar?

Thank you :)

This is a funny one, as we had a sponsor but last minute they changed their mind... As of now, we are not sure but will decide asap.

Currently, we will do it manually :) Further down the line, we actually would want "ISPs to do it" as we build relationship with them. We think it is possible later down the line, as we will make it easier for them to update it.

Regarding customer service, we are seeing how we can do it with Consumer NZ, however at this stage it is a bit tricky for a MVP and we are limited on resources. It is something we think we will definitely do in the future, as we grow.

Hope we answered your questions
