new Spark Galaxy Note 5 from Noel Leemings

Im trying to update the preset voice number from +648303210 to 222 or 0204 864236 for skinny, via phone app, menu, call setting, voicemail settings

trying to change this brings up the message "Failed to read Data. Voicemail number change unsuccessful"

Any suggestions?

I got one of our guys to try and he is getting the same issue.  He says he has gone through multiple troubleshooting procedures to try and fix this issue, but all were unsuccessful.

It appears it is not able to be changed due to the Spark software installed in the device.

He will investigate futher and I'll let you know if we can find a solution.

thanks for reply

from what ive read online, the only solution is to put a spark sim card in it, change the number, then put the skinny sim card back

I havent gotton around to getting a spark sim card yet to test that as yet but suspect that will work from what ive read.

You could root the phone and rip out all the Spark software maybe?

You know I've never understood why telcos need to customise the software on their handsets so much. Branding, logos, hardcoded settings etc. 2degrees at least usually only put their app on and preload data settings etc and don't mess with much else.
