I have been told by Skinny that I cannot reactivate my 4G modem and the only option is to buy a new modem as they do not sell replacement SIMs for their own modems.

 

Has anyone found another option for this problem or do I need to stalk TM for an old modem that still has an active SIM and transfer this over to my account?

That is nuts sounds like someone just needs to do a quick database change so the SIM can be reactivated, I did this all the time in VodafoneNZ

From Skinny T&Cs...

 

  • If you don’t use Skinny Wireless 4G Broadband for 24 months, it will stop working altogether you’ll need to call our Care team to fire it up again.

Was only 12 months when I was last on a Skinny 4G modem.

Thanks Gordy, support person admitted mistake and has advised they will activate a new SIM ($2).
