Hi All,

new to the forum and the country. Geekzone sort of reminds me of whirlpool.net.au :D anyway was wanting to make some furniture and have been on the look out for Hair Pin furniture legs see here http://www.etsy.com/listing/162431960/over-size-hairpin-legs-mid-century?ref=shop_home_feat it looks like something that is reasonably simple to make but I would prefer to just buy it but I don't really want to import something from half way around the world.

Any ideas? I have had a look at some imported made in china legs and they aren't very nice.

I doubt you'll find them pre-made in NZ, your best bet is to rock up to your local general engineering firm and offer it as a beer/cash job

Similar chairs are sold in many designer furniture stores. because they're "designer" they cost an arm and a leg though. (Assume rant about how BS "designer" is).

Parker Ferguson in Thorndon Quay in Wellington would probably be able to source some, guessing you're probably in Auckland though?
