Hey Team,

I've just purchased my first house and am looking to put in some double glazing.  Does anybody have any recommendations for people in Wellington/Kapiti they have used before?  Most pressing is replacing a sliding door/frame which has a leak in it.  We will probably take this opportunity to have it double glazed as it off our lounge facing the weather.

Any advice would be appreciated - not after necessarily the cheapest, but someone who does a good solid job.

Thermal Frame - great quality PVC. White or wood grain only. I have one of their windows, I'm about to order a couple of doors.

I used to drive a glass truck for the biggest manufacturer of double glazing in NZ and deliver to most places in the Lower Nth Island. From Taranaki - Napier down.

The best workmanship in the region (that I saw) was Rylock or Ziggys in masterton. Obviously Ziggys don't do Wellington.

Elite is another Kapiti based one.

The other choice would be to ring a manufacturer and see who they recommend.

We just had our whole house replaced with thermally broken joinery by Bradnams in Lower Hutt.

Windows are well made and look really slick as the profiles are practically flat, their pour and debridge method of thermal break is also vastly superior to the normal polymide 'sandwich'.

We're in Raumati Beach if you want to come have a gander

I've just emailed Brandams, I like PVC for windows but for doors I want the option of colors not just plain white.
