I live in a fairly small apartment so space is at a premium. I would like to affix to one of the doors in the laundry a slim cabinet with doors that I can hang display keep everday tools (screwdriver set hammer etc.)
Has anyone seen one pre made ? I imagine it would be about 700 x 1000 and about 100 deep

My first impression is that this would bother you with it banging on the door when it is opened and closed.  Command Strips (I'm a fan of these) could resolve that.

Modern doors normally only have a cardboard honeycomb inside so not a good idea. All weight will be on thin door veneer

go and check out the "garage journal" forum and see whats available. but be warned...toolboxes are not cheap

My Mrs seems to think that the 3rd drawer down in the kitchen is for all this stuff...


Annoys the hell out of me when I'm searching my toolbox in the garage. ;P

How about using a bathroom vanity cupboard ? They tend to be slim enough so not too obtrusive. Probably pick one up for less than $100.00 shopping around.

I have discoved a simple solution to the fixing. You can get or easily make hooks that go over top of door. The I will do as suggested and find a slim cabinet and some pegboard inside ....sort of thing
