Thanks. It is a good warning to get out there, as I hadn't heard about it before last night, and these days you don't hear about recalls so much.

I read about this and the manufaturer stated to media that they contacted (wrote) to every owner regarding this particular model (most are in Canterbury) and that the majority of them are yet to return their units after ALL this time since recall was instigated.  They reckon a lot of the customers are claiming that their units are working fine and were installed by registed sparkeys however one of the units that caught fire was installed by a sparkey.  
Go figure… I guess some people just dont want to arrange and pay for a sparkey to remove the unit for the RTB recall.
