Hi

You never know with the readership here  - so i thought i'd ask a vintage radio question.

(FYI - I am seeking feedback from elsewhere also)

As I have a rather extensive collection of old radios and a original AWA deep image Tv, So I periodically play and get another one working.

Anyway - my Phillips radio magic eye (B5Z17A) was not working whereupon I found the 470K resistor was stuffed.
After replacement while the original Milliwatt EM80 worked again, it was dull so I replaced it with a Russian 6EiP (FYI you can buy cheap russian imports from tube-store).

Success - yay- it glows brightly as you tune into stations and goes wider and narrower.
However uTube clips show this valve as being the rabbits foot type and in addition to the central tuning line - should have "feet" on the side.

However as my eye does not have "feet", i was wondering if anyone had any ideas??

the above pic is my working russian eye.
