Our new house is to have schist pillars at the front entry and a schist chimney. We would like to install some upward facing spotlights but my electrician has flagged this as 'a pretty big job, mate' and that I should do my own homework (read: absolve himself if something goes wrong). Can anyone with experience recommend a lamp suitable for flush mounting in concrete, with a narrow beam, that won't fill up with condensation?

HUNZA.co.nz specialise in outdoor lighting for things like this. They manufacture and can put you in touch with a supplier.

Some councils/subdivisions have regs regarding upward facing lights/light pollution, something else to think about...
