Our 12 year old microwave is special - it has a special "crisping dish" and you can literally roast anything in it - chicken, fries, anything. It has a heating element on top to do that. Apparently when you reduce the power it reduces the power by x all the time rather than shoot at same power but at x times less often.

Now it burns everything! Not sure why. Could it be the heating element is overheating (if there's such a thing!), or the microwave power output is out of control???

1. I doubt it can be fixed?

2. I can't seem to find Whirlpool microwaves to get the same function - anyone knows who stocks them?

3. Is there another brand that can roast a chicken as described?

Swype on iOS is detrimental to accurate typing. Apologies in advance.

@vexxxboy the reviews for that MW are awful. Reliability issues, poor after sales service etc.

Interesting, their website doesn't return any whirlpool search.

BTW anyone knows what's wrong with my current microwave?

Haven't Whirlpool jumped into bed with Mitre 10 Mega?

I know Harvey's sold them and sold a lot... so they're be able to talk you through the Crisp 'n Grill range.

You fly over, have a holiday,  and pick one up for that kind of thieving price differential

I bought the Panasonic to replace our 15 Year old plus Samsung Timesaver that needed a tray component, before unboxing I looked online at the reviews http://www.productreview.com.au/p/panasonic-nn-cf770m.html  and decided to return it the number of people that took the time to write in suggested to me something wasn't the best with the design.

Anyway bought a Breville Quick Touch Crisp BMO700 its been really good so far. I like the menu system seems logically laid out and easy to use the only criticism is they could have made the viability through the glass better, also online reviews from around the world suggest its a good unit.
