I'm a low power user as I have a tiny house but I decided to take a look around to see what my options are, I have been with genesis for many years. It looks like electric kiwi would work out very slightly higher than what I'm paying on genesis when I look at the price per day/KWh as genesis give me a 10% discount for paying by direct debit and electric kiwi don't. However if I correctly use the free hour of power from EK I should see benefits that would outweigh what genesis offer.
I emailed genesis to see what they could offer but they could only say that I could get a marginal discount if I moved to a fixed contract that involved high fees if I break it....great incentive! Even if the offer had been good I would have left due to grammar rage as the email ended with:
Over the last 12 months you have spent $1,795.16. If you were on the above offer, you would of spent $1,609.11 which is a savings of $186.05.
Anyway, I understand that existing electric kiwi users can provide a link which gets them and myself $50 off the next bill, I don't know anyone on electric kiwi so I will use the link of the first reply after this one for anyone who can. provide it.
