Hi guys,
Here is my situation, any ideas will be extremely helpful. Replacing existing Simpson La Scala oven. I just realized the oven is taller than most other (standard?) ovens out there, the opening is approx 650mm high. the width appears to be OK.

is there a blanking plate available to cover the gap after installing a "standard" oven which is only 595 high? I guess I can make something neat in stainless if I put my mind to it and ask a sheet metal fabricator, but I do not believe I am the only one in this situation... and looking at improvising something sounds like re-inventing the wheel?
[2]
is it better to have the gap at the top, or at the bottom (put some packers under the new oven and then use the blanking plate described above)?

I can get a second hand oven identical to the old one (but not that old, of course...) and then there is no problem at all. But I was after a new oven, not a "newer" one....

how much could cost the installation by registered electrician or technician? I am in West Auckland.
Thanks.
