Hey nzlogan, just one more question came into my mind. When later I get my additional PIR, would you connect it while alarm running?
I'm still at the installation stage haven't yet started programming but I think if alarm isn't connected to battery and AC it will lose its programming.
You could connect another PIR while the alarm is running - just be careful not to short anything out.
Alternatively you could disconnect the power & battery, none of the programming or settings will be lost, but the date and time will be. Easy to reprogram this though.
So it turns out that I won't be able to receive phone calls from the alarm when activated as I'm on NBN. NBN doesn't have a phone line as ADSL which I was on not long time ago.
My options are either buy the IP communicator or GSM module for receiving notification. Thought of posting this so no one makes same mistake as me :)
