Hi Chaps.

We have an electric gate. The problem is the gate does not close with much force, so can be opened by our toddler.

The gate uses hydraulic rams (?)

The board inside doesn’t seem to be branded?

But seems to have some adjustment pots

Here’s a photo of the chip inside which might give some clues...

Keen to know if anyone can point me in the direction of a manual to adjust the gate closure... or give tips on setting this.

Thanks.

thats not a hydraulic ram, its a electromechanical and would be something like a worm gear or rack and pinion type setup, i forget the technical term for it.

its likely very similar to a garage door opener

Lol thanks. Done a bit of googling for a manual for the board. No luck yet.

Just need the gates to be ‘less floppy’ when closed.

Looking at the angle of the actuator vs the gate, it might be impossible to make it stronger without changing the mounting.

You're battling physics here I'm afraid.

are there any more markings or brand names on the actuator or box?

also in the middle of the board there  is another POT, whats the writing next to that say?

It says “Amperometric”

Yes I found that site too. No manual though. I may try emailing them.

Yes I was wondering that. Looks like they have replaced the mounting gear in the past (not sure if history as we inherited the gates when we bought the property last year).
