Picked up a circular saw (B&D) off TM a few months ago. I know need to rip 25mm along the length of a 2m fence paling and I am not going to be able to eyeball this.  But discovered that the saw I bought is missing the rip fence which could certainly help.  Anybody know where I could one of these?

Thanks

Sorry - put up a post thinking you were talking about a bench saw. Deleted.

If you can’t find a fence, if you mark the whole length of the cut with a pencil line, you should be OK doing it unguided - mm accuracy may not be necessary for a fence paling.

Have a couple of spare fences sitting around that you are welcome to if one will do the job.

The larger one is the same size as the one that fits my old Skil circular saw.  I would guess that one is more likely to fit the B&D.  Not sure what the smaller one came off!!  Larger one is 260mm long, 9.7mm wide and 3.1mm thick.  Smaller one is 160mm x 8.1mm x 2.8mm.  I'm on the Kapiti Coast but can always send it if it might be of use.

Cool. When I get home I'll measure the gap that the fence slides through and work out which one would work. Happy to pay postage from Kapiti to Wellington. Thanks

It's not mm accuracy - it's having a nice cut :-)  Anyway look like a fellow GZ has one that will be suitable.
