Hi all

So we are looking into a positive pressure system or a balanced heat system in our house to deal with condensation.

But I've noticed this Unovent option which makes some bold claims..

I notice that when you buy online this includes installation but this is clearly before anyone has come out to advise you whether it's a good idea or not.

Anybody have much experience with them?

Cheers

I think it's BS as it's just a FAN with a remote control sold for $15 at aliexpress.

I would not want more moist air in roof space.

Ideally you take fresh air from outside, heat it and get into house, or just take dump air outside, not root space...

Haven't had any experience with Unovent, but in principle it works that same as traditional positive pressure systems (i.e. DVS-style) that take "warm, dry" air from the roof space and circulate it through the house. For older, less air-tight homes they certainly do work to reduce moisture and condensation. I've had DVS systems before and they worked for us.

There are other solutions too that might work equally well or better (or worse) for your home and circumstances though, ranging from opening a couple of windows during the day through balanced systems through heat exchangers through all singing, all dancing climate control / central heating.
