Looking to replace our 11 year old Daikin that seems to be failing. It's done a good job, has been moved between rooms once, but something isn't going well.

Anyone recommend a heat pump installer in Wellington northern suburbs that's moderately priced but has ok service? Ideally somewhere established - the place that put this unit in is long gone.

Already have Wasabi coming out to do a quote, but they tend to be more expensive than average - but they've been around a good while.

Much more owner-operator electrician + heat pump guy than specialised conglomerate, but Gavin at St Just Services is a great. He seems super busy at the moment though; I'm still waiting for him to do some work at our place.

Thanks MDF. If he's super busy I'll probably pass as being without the heating if it fails would be annoying.

I used www.frostindustries.co.nz about three years ago and they had a great price on a Fujitsu unit at the time and were very easy to deal with.  Had an issue with a leak on the unit and getting that fixed and replaced was as easy as it could be.

FWIW, our neighbor has recently been through the same issue and after shopping around ended up going with Wasabi, so although I don't know all of the details, they seemed to have the best offering for them.
