Handsomedan: So did amyone watch the England Ukraine game this morning?

I watched it on my iPhone - half an eye on the America's cup at the same time.

Couldn't quite work out why it was in 4:3 aspect Ratio...got used to it, but I guess it was a feed from the old country...

Yeah, it was like watching two mums playing FIFA!

ha ha...the only criticism I have of that comment is that Fifa is in 16:9...

You need a US itunes account, plus I think to get ESPN you need a US cable subscription?

I would have to be the lest geek on here...... I spend a bit of time in Hawaii each year, so I use my Hawaii address for my Itunes account. When I got back here, I found out that if I joined up with a site www.unblock-us.com  and pay I think it is about $5.00 a month, they send you the 208...... whatever the rest is , and away you go!  maybe you can try that?

Do you also need US cable accounts etc or does it just work by having a US itunes account?

for Netflix you don't need anything else, but for HBO Go and ESPN you need to have a US cable account with one of the providers like Comcast, Cox etc.  If you have friends in the states they might let you use their login, but other than that there is no practical way to get access to those services

set your apple tv country/location to USA, then use unblock-us or vpn.

I've watched a couple of games on this now and I'm still disappointed.

The first and second games were blocky, jittery and it wouldn't stick to the 3000kbps I set it at. Wouldnt even stay at 1600. Auto saw it regularly drop to 800.

I saw it mentioned elsewhere that IE was better. I used that for the third game and it sat at 3000kbps as requested and although the picture quality wasn't great it was still jittery but at least it was a constant stream.

I still had a headache after watching though.

Then yesterday I watched the Sunderland - Arsenal game, again in IE but this time I tried turning the hardware acceleration off in the flash window (as I had read elsewhere). But it was back to all the original problems. It wouldn't stick to 3000kbps, the jerkiness was more often that not and I almost gave up half way through.

I've tried to keep up with this thread but I doubt I've read everything. Is there are definitive answer on which browser to use etc ? Or will nothing change because the initial unrest has died down ?
