kindagot: Watched ManU on Saturday morninig excellent quality.
Watching Palace v Ars right now and the quality is awful! It's 1.30am so not a lot of traffic around, just spoken to my brother at 1/2 time, he has awful quality too, with freezing. So two different ISP's and the freezing is at the same point. I think someone said earlier that the feed itself is poor quality, this seems to give weight to that. I'm going to contact PLP tomorrow about this as this happened last season Manu Utd games were pretty good quality and Palace games were terrible (video quality!)

I'm glad I'm not the only person having issues with this game!

Edit: I'm also astounded they don't have their "live chat" service online while games are on live.

I tried signing in with my freee 1 week pass last night but it must have expired as I could not get in, i signed up for it mid last week. Anyhow there was the option of a freee month pass so I tried that and have now a free monthly pass :)

I tried watchin manC V chelsea last night. absolutely the worst I've ever seen it, it kept pausing every 5 seconds or so before quickly moving on. very unwatchable. I stopped and found some hightlights online.
I was usng my samsung tablet. I tried going to the max of 3000kbps. Don't think it was my internet as I happily streamed a programme after that with no issues.

will watch liverpool tonight but it will be on my laptop as I m hoping that will be better...

I think PLP has not worked as they would have hoped, I don't think they are making money that is why they are not investing in the quality. If the rights are up this year I don't think they'll have them next year, which is unfortunate in some ways as I do like the idea just not the price. Oh well, I could be completely wrong of course :)

I watched the Liverpool game (a bit of it) this morning and the stream was fine for me - I was quite happy with this.

I wonder if the issues are because a lot of people are trying to stream the game at the same time or something. I was using the Android app on my tablet. SO have, I havent experienced any issues with the streaming.

watch the Lpool game on my android app on my tablet last night and I couldn't fault it, not sure what was going on with the ManC game for me the previous night. Was using a free month trial i have, not sure if this has something to do with the tablet/app.

I did try and login to the site in chrom and firefox, last night on my laptop, but I couldn't even log in ...hmmm

Has anyone tried to use BEIN sports here?

Wondering if you are able to even sign up for it?

Assuming you would need an Aussie proxy for it to work?

I used BEIN when it was Al Jazeera Sport but only in the middle east.   Worked ok... Not the greatest quality stream and Andy gray was damn annoying... Plus at the time, they streamed the entire channel not just the matches so you had to 'rewind' back in time past the game and you would often catch the score if you where not watching live.

Not sure if the Aussie version is different.

Arsenal v Liverpool was generally good for me (iPad 2 Airplayed though Apple TV). There were moments of very poor quality which would have been frustrating if they were the last minute of a cup final but generally all fine.

i watched it on my Android tablet - generally good stream as well. A couple of moments where the feed was lost but nothing critical. There were also a couple of times when the stream shifted to lower quality, but again, generally the match stream was fine. I didnt push it to the tv though, just watching it on the tablet.

Champion league games are on Sky, they've bought redistribution rights from BEin Sports (AUS)

Damn! Oh for the happy days of ECL on SBS4 on Freeview.

Having said that, lots of ECL games live on ITV (UK) last year via iPad app or browser- so OK if you have geo-unblocking - need to check if they have rights again this year.

It will also be interesting to see which of these TV companies have watch live apps on the updated Apple TV - all I assume.

BT sports has UK rights now so not free there either.
