Just got from uni and Netflix US is now working! I can confirm it wasn't working at about 9:30am this morning but now it is. I've made no changes. I'm on slingshot 40gb and unblock-us.

Fingers crossed it's working for good now!

Back up here too- Slingshot VDSL, no cap. Turned Global Mode back on, flushed cache, rebooted router, restarted ATV and back working laughing

So I gave it a whirl - switched back to US - 1st show streamed fine, 2nd show got the dreaded Netflix error message - refreshed browser then it worked fine, 3rd show - kept getting error message even after numerous refreshes...so for those testing I would try 3-4 different shows first...

Bugger- I tested mine on my ATV, played a number of shows and movies with no issue. I will say that Netflix won't load on my browser (Chrome) at all but I don't watch NF on my PC so not overly fussed in that regard.

Going by the unblock-us support forum people in Canada are also having issues accessing the American Netflix. So I don't believe it's throttling here in NZ that's the issue it's something that Netflix has changed.

UnoTellyService:
P.S Netflix still works via UK Dynamo Option for those that joined in late, and you can email us at support@unotelly.com for 30-day free VPN Trial if you really want US Netflix for now.

This didn't work for me on ATV, but netflix still looked like US netflix - I tried rebooting the ATV after changing the DNS and it still didn't seem to change to the UK version - not sure how I can check for certain sure.  Seems to work on my laptop though.

BigDRC: Yeah hulu has been fine for me the whole time - at the moment I'm watching Netflix Mexico - just have to put up with the subtitles but they have some good selections on it smile

If you are using Unblock-US you can turn the subtitles off via their website, it's under their region selector

Has been all over the show all weekend - unblock us has too at least for me, and I had to change my secondary DNS back to local to get any net at all, and had frequent interruptions.

As of now, Netflix and Hulu down with unblock us and Bigpipe VDSL.

Hi my

ISP Vodafone UFB 200/50

Dns unblockus

Netflix not working still on Apple TV 3, Chrome on surface pro 2 , or surface pro 2 via app

However if I go to my VPN Proxpn then works on ipad and surface pro 2 via app

Update if I disconnect the Vpn while playing on surface pro 2 the quality goes up from 1750 to 2350 and still plays.
Have also tried Airplay from ipad but doesn't work. With or without VPN on.

Still all good here - have not dropped NF US at all while all these reported issues have been posted.

Telecom 150Gb ADSL2+, but currentley unmetered due to TiVo
UnoTelly
EntroPay credit card
Works on iPhone 4s, iPad 3 gen, Sony BR player, laptop with Chrome

If this is NF surrendering to pressure and deliberately trying to block paying subscribers from NZ, then why are they not doing the same in Australia where by all accounts Foxtel have made very strong representaions to US movie producers to have them make NF play by the distribution rules?

And if it is NF doing this and using NZ as a test bed before rolling out the blocking solution to say Australia as well, then how come some of us here on GZ (like me) have had no issues at all?
