If working for some and not others, could it be a load balancing issue or something similar?

Netflix still coming through fine (Bigpipe, ADSL, both Chromecast, android + browser + UnoTelly).
Interestingly enough BBC iplayer has stopped working on Chromecast with following settings (still works on android/browser) - so I suspect the iplayer chromecast urls have also been impacted (iplayer was working last night with these settings).
I'll run some dns traces tonight once kids are in bed, coz I can live without Netflix but not without my iplayer fix ;-)

So I tried logging in again. Still no luck getting Netflix US service to work during Vodafone unlimited broadband and unblock-us. Switched my country to UK on unblock-us and Netflix works fine. It's a little frustrating..

Hi,
Anyone had any luck with this yet?
I seem to be getting the same problem, I can browse Netflix fine but when I got to play something at about 50% it gives me the error 8012...
I use Firefox with media hint
My account is US and has my US credit card (I live in the US 1/2 the year)
Any help would be great!

I just signed up to Netflix and Unblock-Us last night, unaware of this issue, funny that.

As of tonight:
-Netflix works fine with Unblock-Us set to UK region.
-Netflix has worked a few times with Unblock-Us set to the US, but now is no longer playing anything more than the first 20secs of a clip.

This is on my MacBook Pro running Mavericks.

Haven't tested the Netflix app on my iPhone 5s or Apple TV 2 with it set to US, but they also work fine on UK region.

Also, on a side note, I really loathe silverlight. It's slow and forces my MBP to switch from Integrated to Dedicated graphics, which kills my battery life. I really think Netflix should switch to HTML5, but again, unrelated to this issue :P

EDIT: Forgot to mention, this is on Vodafone ADSL2 150GB plan. 5Mbps down 0.9Mbps up.

I tried again using unotelly dns settings Primary dns NZ, secondary dns Aus.
Same fault with iPad and USA Netflix, spinning wheel and movies won't load.

I setup a trial account over at https://getflix.com.au/setup/overview
Set the region for USA Netflix and bingo all content now loads and plays on iPad.

My setup
ISP - Slingshot ADSL
I've left the global mode setting from within slingshot as default.

Hope this helps someone else.

Are they adjusting akamai stuff? because tonight on BigPipe/Unotelly I cant load facebook correctly, the following doesnt work:

I'm on Telecom VDSL2 unlimited, and it wasn't working beforehand, and I can confirm that the getflix method appears to work, seems to have eliminated the problem.

EDIT:While this seems to have gotten rid of the error, it makes some the videos unplayable, after like 20 seconds, and some videos show the same old error.

So I decided to try Unotelly again, put the DNS IP's in but the Unotelly site says that my DNS isn't setup correctly (even waiting 5 odd minutes). So thought I'd try Netflix USA and wow, no buffering, and movies/TV seem to be back to normal.

Is this the light at the end of the tunnel? :-)

All the thumb nails are also loading straight away, and the loading of movies/tv looks a little different too.

Under Netflix "profile settings > your account > playback settings" you can select "Prefer HTML5 player instead of sliverlight".

Whether or what effect this would have in your case, I don't know, but I have mine set to HTML5.

I've tried that but it still wants Silverlight. :-( Would be great if they ditch it.
