I would love to join the rest of the universe in watching the services offered by Orcon Global Mode. I have the Orcon Genius White modem (Netcomm): & I have Windows 7 on my pc & use Google Chrome
I followed the intructions to change my DNS settings for Global Mode

I tried to join Netflix but it rejected my NZ Zipcode

Question

1) Do I need to download or join other service providers in order to watch programs on BBC or Netflix or Australian TV (SBS) ?

2) If I manage to get it up & running will I be able to watch any of these on my TV which is LG Plasma ?

I wish Orcon would give a step by step guide for older people that are not as knowledgeable about all this new technology.

When I tried to get help from Orcon Support I received a call from a technician in Malaysia that could not guide me through the process.

I would gladly pay someone to visit & get me up & running, but there does not seem to be any after sales service from Orcon after the  device has been installed & I feel sure many older or non technical people are missing out.

For an American address & zipcode, get a YouShop address from NZ Post, it's free.

1) I don't know about BBC and SBS, but you won't need anything else to watch Netflix (Silverlight plugin, I think, but Chrome should do it automatically).

2) Depends on your TV: if it's a smart TV, and it supports Netflix overseas, you might be able to enable it by changing your TV's region setting, otherwise you'll need something else.

No signups are needed for BBC. Just go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer and start watching.
