I don't know if was mentioned previously, but many libraries now offer streaming video, some you might have to pay for, but at Auckland Libraries for example where I am a member there are loads of videos available for free streaming. Obviously lots of classics, but also a variety of documentaries, concerts and how to's.

I just noticed Docplay - www.docplay.com - is not on the list. I've had an annual subscription for two or three years now.

We love British Crime Drama -  aka Broadchurch which you can watch from several places but there is another series 'Vera' that I cannot find on any of the streaming services.

There are 10 series and only a few have been broadcast in NZ.

Any suggestions as to were we could stream?

Vera season 10 is currently playing on Vibe.  So you could sign up with Sky and stream from SkyGo.

There are also daily streams of Opera from the Met Opera (New York), Royal Opera House (London), Staasoper (Munich) and others.  Sydney Opera House is also streaming various performances.  No geo-locking but check the sub-title options.

I notice that the NZ  movie streaming services have not adopted the US "Theater rentals"  for new movies.  I see some on Amazon  Prime Video .  New releases for $20 rental.  Way cheaper than going t the movies for two or more.

The Studios themselves released them and allowed Amazon to distribute. Unless they did the same here (unlikely) then it won't happen. It's not the Cinemas themselves that have control over it.

We don't really have anything local with the capacity I don't think? Lightbox perhaps?

These same studios are represented here  so in theory it could happen.
