Seems the reliability of the Skygo stream is due to them halving the bitrate. Ugh.

It's literally no better than the dodgy streams in terms of quality

A shocker. I expected that Oz would win, but we will be hard to beat. but, a shocker. Worst run rate for the first 10 overs since Mark Richardson days of the beige brigade according to Cricinfo..
Grant Elliot stood out again, showing up the rest of the team. Our aggressive brand of cricket? Not yesterday, we just rolled over, as if we played our final against SA.
Beaten, thats fine. Putting up a fight, thats fine. They never put up anything, exceot GE, and good on him, for being a surpris selection, criticised, and he ended up being the only player to turn up for the game, he clearly is not intimidated by his run yesterday and against SA. Maybe I sound harsh, but the rest of the team were intimidated, and the first game they abandoned their new brand of cricket.

If you use XBMC or Kodi as it's now called, then install this video addon P2P streams. There are a few tutorials on Utube. I used it to watch SkyUK  F1 HD channel on the big TV and have SkyGo on the Ipad for the Cricket.

You'll see a list of loads of programs shed loads, but under sport there are the UK BT sport1,2 + SKY Sports 1-9999, French, Spanish... etc etc. and good bit Rates too.

Worth a play around with, works well over my VDSL on Waiheke Island.

It was embarrassing. They still ended up with a good payday. You knew Austalia thought it was embarrassing, because they kept saying that the two best teams had made it to the final, and NZ deserved to be there this time, as they had played some of the best cricket, but you knew they didn't mean it. I just think they were too cocky, and under estimated the austalians, and simply weren't good enough. Australia did have a very strong advantage though playing on a home ground and they had already played recent games at the stadium. NZ should have never batted first, as batting during the day when that stadium causes some very bad shadows on the ground, would be difficult conditions to play in.

If you have a team that is better than you, I think you should bat second. That way you know the target to bat, and you should end up with a longer game, as the better team should be able to bat out their overs. In ODI's you should never be bowled out batting first.

That seems a bit harsh.  I agree they were perhaps too cocky going into it (Well, really it was the media being too cocky.. as usual) but based on form in previous games I think they did deserve to be there.

Interesting. I was unaware you had extensive experience captaining international cricket squads. Here I was thinking that McCullum probably had more knowledge and experience than approximately every Internet commenter.

Agree. Bat second, easier to chase, and our bowlers will be fresh. Given the talent we have, the talent that Grant Elliots showed again against a top nation, and how all the rest failed completely, I see it as a psychological failure. Maybe they played their final last week, and ran out of fight. It was embarrasing and takes a huge edge of this so called new brand of Black Caps cricket. We won't be intimidated, read that somewhere.

I am not saying they didn't deserve to be there, but I don't think the two best teams were the ones in the final. A Aus / SA game would have been a better fina. l I think the two best teams were Australia and South Africa. We were lucky to beat South Africa and the homeground advantage helped. South Africa are a better team, just that NZ beat them on the day, which happens in cricket, as there is a lot of luck in it. Bangladesh beats NZ on occasions, but that doesn't mean that Banglasdesh are better than NZ, if they bet them in a one off knockout game in a tournament .

Cricket is a very psychological game.Australia did bowl well though, but not so well to bowl them out for 180, with 5 ducks. That was a 300 plus ground. The NZ team hostorically is well known for it's batting collapses, and I thought that was well behind them, as top teams like Australia and South Africa rarely collapse like that . I too think they played their final last week, and if that had been the final, it would have been the best World Cup final.

joker97: Aka choked?

Yep. The low or no score by most, the slow RR by all, choked. GE didnt, and he didnt against SA either. They didnt dare to achieve. bat to win and get bowled out, good on ya. Didnt do that. The CWCt games, they played aggressive. Thats the ONLY reason they won 8 on the trot. Dared to achieve, not scared of anyone. The bonus of aggressive batting is you might play yourself into form as you dont have to make so many decisions, momentum, pride, positiveness, pressure on the opposition bowlers adds to runs.

As Doull stated in a recent match, we dont want to be an honourable winner, may as well bat to win and get bowled out.

Oh well, a greta riode, just a pity that the final was so bad it takes away a lot of the last few weeks.
